Things To Do In Jasper Arkansas
Jasper is considered the upper Buffalo River. Below is a list of several places to visit and thing to do while visiting this area.
Float trips: Several sections like Pruitt → Hasty (7 miles) are popular for canoeing/kayaking.
Pruitt is a well-known swimming area along the Buffalo River.
Hiking Trails
Lost Valley Trail: ~2.4 mi round-trip, easy to moderate. Leads through a box canyon, to caves, waterfalls, and a bluff shelter.
Hemmed-in-Hollow: Longer and more challenging (~5 miles), but leads to one of the tallest waterfalls between the Rockies and Appalachians.
Hawksbill Crag (Whitaker Point): Very scenic bluff-top outcrop with sweeping valley views.
Triple Falls: A short (.5 mi) hike to a double (or triple) waterfall.
Round Top Mountain Trail: Near Jasper (2.4 mi south on Hwy 7) — about 3 miles of loops, great views.

Scenic Point: Located ~3.6 miles south of Jasper on Hwy 7. From its lookout tower, you can see over 40 miles, including into Missouri on a clear day.
